During my time at Akimbo.tv we were approached by Better Half to animate a system of elements for the Vans Musician Wanted: Americas Concert Finale showcase.
We wanted the energy and motion to match the chaotic and organic feeling of the textures so we went for a combination of organic morphing + glitch effects.
It was hard to balance between digital glitch effects and organic morphing but in the end we had a handful of unique transitions.
We then applied these transitions to various elements through such as lower thirds and background elements. Each transition has some variability to it so each elements could be unique.
